Low Voltage Solutions’ DFW branch has been hard at work installing a brand new fire alarm system as part of the Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program, or TRIP, for short. The location? The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The main focus for LVS has been on Terminals B & E which encompass a large footprint considering each terminal has three levels, each spanning a distance of one mile each. LVS is proud to be a part of this project not only because of its size, but because we are a part of a team of several contractors coordinating to provide a much needed airport upgrade with little to no disruption to the public which is not an easy feat.
Low Voltage Solutions has been an active part of TRIP since construction began in 2012. In addition to the larger terminal renovations, LVS also installs the fire alarm system for several ancillary spaces for all four of the terminals. These include newsstands, restaurants, retail stores, boutiques, and convenient stores located throughout the concourses. The entire TRIP project is expected to come in for a landing sometime in 2017. Once complete, both airlines and passengers will benefit from these much needed improvements.
